Masks we wear - Part 1
Face Masks - Part 1 Exfoliating
Skin is our largest organ and treating is well is important to me. My face mask ritual is at least twice a week with a different type of mask depending on what my skin needs.
Not too long ago a read an article by Christie Brinkley who is 63 now and in it she said daily exfoliation was one of the main reasons for her youthful face. It makes sense to continue cell turnover so between masks, retin-a and various acid based wipes (glycolic, salicylic and hyaluronic) daily exfoliation is part of my routine.
Healthy, hydrated, glowing skin that has an even tone is my goal and I enjoy my beauty regiments very much. It is my time to pamper myself or sometime it is my girl time with friends.
Chilling with wine and face masks really a pass time I can get behind!
Clarisonic Clarifying mask - it dried firm and tight on my skin but it leaves it completely smooth and bright when washed off.
Glam Glow YouthMud mask - this one I like to do in the morning while making coffee or getting breakfast ready. It is great before makeup application because it really tightens and smooths out all pores and skin. My rule is to do it before going out for the day or night to get most benefit.
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate mask- this is really one that packs a punch but man does it work. It packs a tingle and heats up so when they say up to 2 min it is seriously only that and no longer. Love the after!
To wash them off I wet a towel, microwave it for 30 seconds and it's like I am at a spa getting a facial. This open up pores for toner, vitamin C, moisturizer, eye cream and all the other things I pile on. To be a girl is so fun, enjoy be awesome and Sparkle!
